Qualifications & unit standards

South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)

The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is the mandated body in terms of an Act of Parliament to oversee the establishment of building blocks towards a qualification. In simple terms these blocks are known as unit standards and set criteria and are a measuring device to evaluate or assess an individual's knowledge, understanding, abilities and skills.

South African Professional Firearm Trainers Council (SAPFTC)

Up to 2013, the Safety & Security Sector Education & Training Authority (SASSETA) was the quality assurer for all fireams related education and training in South Africa. Since 2013, the responsibility rests with the South African Professional Firearm Trainers Council (SAPFTC). As a registered assessment centre and training provider, we are responsible to report to the Education & Training Quality Assurance Body (ETQA) of the Council or SETA, which verifies the learner achievements.

We have held accreditation with SAPFTC since 2013 which can be verified by clicking on this link
